Loot Mechanics in Sealubbers

Overview

Every battle, chest, and quest in Krucia provides rewards that drive progression. Loot strengthens your captain and crew, unlocks upgrades, and expands your options at sea.

Sources of Loot

Loot can be obtained from many places. Defeating enemy ships, opening treasure chests on islands or beneath the waves, completing quests, exploring shipwrecks and caves, and even random sea events such as drifting barrels or washed-up crates can all yield valuable rewards.

Core Loot Types

Gold

Used for hiring crew, purchasing upgrades, unlocking quests, cosmetics, enchantments, and pursuing the main objective.

Schematics

Plans for ship upgrades, unlocking cannons, sails, hull reinforcements, and other permanent improvements.

Enchantments

Permanent stat boosts for crew, improving combat, sailing, and abilities.

Cosmetics

Visual customization for ship, captain, and crew. Purely aesthetic.

Resources

Trade goods with varying values between islands. Profitable when sold at the right port.

Consumables / Temporary Buffs

Short-term benefits for ship or crew, useful in battles, storms, or long voyages.

Experience Rewards

In addition to physical items, you also gain experience. You and your crew members gain XP from battles and quests, allowing them to level up, improve their stats, and strengthen their gifts over time.

Loot Rarity and Distribution

The rarity and distribution of loot vary across the seas. Common rewards like gold and resources are frequent, while schematics, enchantments, and cosmetics are rarer and more exciting. Some items are tied to specific enemies, regions, or quests, making them more difficult to obtain.
